Our History
Sugarfire Events Co. was founded in 2016 as an extension of Sugarfire Smokehouse, the St. Louis barbecue staple that started it all. As demand for catering and event services grew beyond the restaurant, Sugarfire Events naturally evolved into a standalone presence within the hospitality community.
Led by industry veterans Mike Johnson, Heather Dougherty, and Dave Molina, our team brings decades of experience to every event. We specialize in elevated, chef-driven culinary experiences tailored to our clients. From intimate gatherings to grand celebrations, we collaborate with you to create menus that are personal, thoughtful, and truly unforgettable.

The positions available include 4 full-time roles and 4 part-time roles, starting March-May 2026. Notably, 2 of our new venues will require Managers/Chefs to oversee operations on a full-time basis.
NOTE: Must have culinary and or event management experience for consideration.
